Advantages of one time precision molding

  • # Warpage
    The warpage of one-time precision molding is maintained at 0.5‰, while the warpage of the tape casting method is at 2‰. Excessive warpage is one of the primary factors causing cracking.
  • # Appearance
    The tape casting method requires subsequent laser cutting of the product's edges and hole locations, which can cause serrated streaks and microcracks. Additionally, thermal stress during the cutting process can lead to cracking. In contrast, one-time precision molding avoids these issues as it does not require laser cutting.
  • # Thickness
    When using the tape casting method, for thicknesses greater than 1.0 mm, multiple green sheets must be stacked and then sintered, which carries a risk of defects. If the thickness is too great, production is not feasible. In contrast, precision molding can achieve thicknesses ranging from 1 to 30 mm without encountering these issues.
